Welcome to the home of Lumikello
The heart of Lumikello beats on an old estate in northern Germany, 15 kilometers south of Kiel. Nestled among meadows, lakes and fields, the area offers many great excursion options: cycling tours are wonderfully possible from the farm, the large Plön lakes are on the doorstep and the Baltic Sea is half an hour's drive away.
The small pond on our farm offers a wonderful place to linger or you can find a nice spot in one of our horse paddocks. We have seven Icelandic horses but unfortunately we don't have a riding business and we don't rent our horses out. We would like to point this out because we are asked about it all the time.
Another tip is for the road in the immediate vicinity. You can't hear anything in the apartment itself, but when you're in the yard you can hear a rustling noise from the street. That doesn't bother us and we love the landscape and nature around the village of Warnau. It borders on a nature reserve and the surrounding villages invite you to swim in the lake. Unfortunately, our pond is not a swimming pond, but you can take a boat to it and if you are lucky, you can see the sea eagles flying over the village.
You can find a small shop for your daily needs in the neighboring town of Kirchbarkau, which is 10 minutes away by bike. In the village there is a beautiful playground by the village pond and a football field.
Walk in...
The apartment is located in an annex of the farm and has 20 square meters of sleeping space, which can be reached with a ladder, and a sofa bed in the living area. It is ideal to live in with two people; Four people are also possible, but it will be a little tighter.
The small holiday apartment has a pantry kitchen with a refrigerator and a hotplate. It is fully equipped and you can look forward to fresh coffee and tea, which we invite you to. You will also find a pretty shower room and your own terrace.
The apartment has been newly renovated and furnished with a lot of love and beautiful things. We attach great importance to convenience and, upon request, we also offer a small “survival package” with regional delicacies for the first few days. (extra charge).
