Fine Italian square doily “Crinkle”

From €19,00

You've seen them many times from me: the fine Italian placemats (that's what I call them - you could also say place mats), which not only look wonderful but are also super practical. They are made of fine linen that is coated. They retain their textile character without getting dirty directly. If washing is necessary, they go into the machine at 30 degrees. They are made by hand in a small, traditional Italian company.

I have chosen 6 great colors and two shapes for you and will keep adding to them if you like them as much as I do.

Dimensions

Model "Crinkle" square: 38 x 38 cm

produced in a small family business in Italy.

Please write to me if you would like to order other colors, then I will collect these orders and order more sets. The new delivery time is then again 3 to 4 weeks. Thanks for your understanding.

Garment care

Garment Care Information
First, a little information about fabrics...

Cotton and linen
Cotton and linen fabrics are machine washable and should be washed regularly for the best care and longevity of the product. You may find that many fabrics are softer when washed over time.

Wool
Wool should not be washed regularly. If I needed to clean these items, they should be professionally washed.

Detergents and detergents ...
We recommend a good petroleum-free enzymatic detergent for washing cotton and linen fabrics.

Stains
Stains are best treated by applying liquid stain remover before washing. If a more stubborn stain is present, apply stain remover and soak before washing. For cotton and linen, it is best to remove stains with hot water. However, do not use hot water on wool.

Bleach
We never recommend chlorine bleach. Chlorine bleach will weaken any fabric and reduce its durability. If bleaching is necessary, use only oxygen bleach alternatives that are safe for colors and whites. Never use bleach on linen and coated linen colored, faux leather or wool.

Machine wash
Pretreat any stained areas before washing.
Machine wash at 30° cotton, coated linen and linen.
Hand wash
We recommend hand washing of decorated and embroidered items.
Pretreat any stained areas before washing.
Pour room temperature water into a bowl along with the items to be washed and detergent.
Agitate the water and detergent with your hands.
Soak for ½ hour (soaking longer is not recommended).
Rinse well.
Drying and ironing...
Most damage occurs in the dryer. Therefore, horizontal and air drying is recommended. It is best if items are removed before they dry completely. Delicate items such as wool and faux leather should never be placed in the dryer. Wools should be laid out horizontally to dry - do not hang.

Fabric softeners
The use of fabric softeners is not recommended with items from La Gallina Matta. Cotton and linen soften with use and retain their natural beauty. Do not use fabric softener on wool.

Ironing
Always fill the iron with distilled water so as to avoid calcium buildup in the iron. Ironing is easier and gentler on fabrics when the garment is damp. You can spray a bottle full of lavender water or plain distilled water to dampen the linen just before ironing. Ironing these fabrics inside out is strongly recommended on linen, mandatory on coated linen, faux leather and wool. When ironing monograms or other detailed embroidery, iron inside out and place a towel over it. This ensures that the embroidery relief is not flattened.

Products La Gallina Matta really do not need starch.

Store linen ...
Textiles should always be stored clean (washed) in a dry place. (Avoid damp attics and basements.) Do not store in plastic; acid-free cotton and/or paper bags are best to avoid insects and spoilage. Also, never store cotton and linen that has been starched as this causes yellowing.

Dry Cleaning
Dry cleaning chemicals are not good for you or the fabrics of La Gallina Matta. Ask your dry cleaner to use environmentally friendly detergents.
